These photos of the James are humming. I like the sequencing, most in the ones where there is a bit of jump in the continuity. I really love the one of the almost identical fallen tree, the same one as in today's DP. Nice tonal quality and texture in addition to the hide-n-seek play going on. Man, painting is so slow. I'll try and reply with some photos as well since they have been anticipating the paintings for awhile. I explored the south side of Belle isle yesterday and the day before. Good stuff. I'm curious if you saw the same things. The water is really low and the boulder-scape seems like it belongs to another region, spellbinding and pocked with holes in the rocks filled with water, like dozens of little bowls. Also a lot of graffiti has been painted out with grey paint to match the rocks. I shot a number of pictures of the edited tags. Camouflage. I started two new largish paintings that both stunk, so gotta get back in the saddle tomorrow.
